Sofía "La Reini" Gonet once again shared intimate details of her relationship with Homero Pettinato. The influencer stated that she felt "cancelled" after her chats with the streamer were exposed and opted to make a statement on Instagram to defend herself against the recent criticism.
"I'm speaking up after being cancelled for three straight days by an entire country and all media outlets, calling me violent, a psychopath, saying I should be institutionalized or in prison, receiving millions of messages wishing I would die, get beaten up, or be locked up, seeing clips from one of the country's most-watched streaming channels calling me a bitch, a fucking bitch, and talking about how my tits look up close, with all of Twitter body-shaming me for my body and the dress I wore," La Reini began to list.
She stated that she never spoke about gender-based violence and her intention was never to tarnish such an important cause. The influencer admitted she got carried away by the idea of romantic love and fell for a person who had substance abuse issues and needed help, which she did not want to judge, but that same situation triggered many behaviors she didn't know how to handle.
"It's a show of two totally privileged people. Gender-based violence is what other women suffer," she added. Sofía also emphasized that her relationship was a "circus" and doesn't deserve so much attention, especially when there are more serious issues happening in the country, like the water shortage in Mendoza or real networks of violence.
She advised her followers to "decentralize love and decentralize men from their lives." Gonet said her relationship should have ended from the very beginning, as the dynamic was never going to work and the toxicity just escalated. She admitted she said horrible things, but her ex was also violent, as were the streaming channels and all the media in the way they covered the topic with insults and degrading remarks.
"I'm not going to talk about this anymore. I'm not going to appear on any gossip TV shows, it doesn't interest me. The only person I want to talk to today is Leonor Silvestri," she concluded.
